After last week, I needed a bit of rest. I mean, some much needed R&R. Luckily, I was able to take an Aimee day Sunday to run, eat myself silly, and explore SF.
Some things I got into?
Brunched: Had an epic brunch thanks to Hecho. If you haven't been, their Chilaquiles and Hecho Hash are insane. Tukon gold potatoes, roasted peppers and onion smothered in queso fundido? NOM. Washed down with a Bloody Mary and Blackberry Sabbath and I was feelin' pretty great. Sunday was spent catching up with gal pals over quinoa bowls at Herbivore and then making a stop to Bi-Rite for Ice Cream Day (naturally).
Celebrated: Made a pit-stop Saturday afternoon to Half Moon Bay Brewing Company to join in on the 15th anniversary celebrations. Their Baby Kale and Jicama salad was perfect for a sunny afternoon and sipped their special Orange-U-Hoppy Blood Orange Ale!
Explored: I've lived in SF for 4 years and have explored a lot. But one place I haven't? The Japanese Tea Garden in Golden Gate Park! It was perfect for a solo adventure on a warm Sunday afternoon. Earlier in the week, I caught the sunset at Twin Peaks – just what I needed after a crazy, hectic day. I suggest you go and do the same.
Drank: Zeitgeist for pitchers with friends. Just don't take any pictures (or at least do it on the sly) so the bartenders don't yell at you. And I promise, they are a bit terrifying. In a good way, of course. Also earlier in the week Cait, Andi and I rejoiced in the prettiest cheese plate i've ever seen and wine from Cultivar. Woo!
How was your weekend?
