Her Name Was Rio: Farm Rio Midi Dress

Dress: Farm Rio (similar here) | Bag: From Mexico | Shoes: Who What Wear

If I could get an ROI on a piece of clothing, this Farm Rio dress would truly live up to it and then some.

Throughout the last two years, I was pretty silly in some of my clothing buying decisions. I started off with cozy sweatshirts, sweatpants, etc. COPING MECHANISMS!!! And then, as we gradually got the swing of our “new normal” I started wearing more colorful clothing to put me in a lighter mood. I’d now say my POV on dressing is “wear whatever the hell you want and how you want it” because life is short and it’s fun to feel empowered in your clothing.

For me, this dress was my gateway drug to Farm Rio. If you’re unfamiliar, the brand is all about sustainability, investing in their people and investing in the planet. I’m drawn to their colorful prints, quirky patterns and carefree silhouettes – trying to dress how I feel!

Anyway, this dress is show, show-stoppinnnnnn’ (if you get that reference, I’ll give ya a high five and $20 bucks). I’ve gotten a ton of compliments while wearing it and honestly, I’ve worn it everywhere. To an event, to dinner, on the weekend for brunch, on a trip to Mexico and hell, even a freakin’ mall in Scottsdale, Arizona (with a pitstop at the Cheesecake Factory, of course).

ANYWAY, this is all to say – if you like color and a bit of fun, check out their incredible pieces!
