Weekend Snapshots

Hi Everyone!

Happy Wednesday! I JUST got back from Florida late last night, so if half of this post makes no sense...you'll know why. I decided to take a few days off from the blog to fully enjoy my family in Florida and damn...it was needed.

Instead, I celebrated the holidays with my family, Ittai and the sweet embrace of Floridian sun. We stayed in Fort Lauderdale which is about an hour north of Miami. It's no surprise that Florida is a bit different than SF. For one thing, you need to drive everywhere. So shoutout to Enterprise for hookin' a girl up with a souped up Ford Wrangler Jeep. It was HUGE and so fun to drive.

And since things aren't very walkable, figuring out food places is a bit challenging. Luckily, Yelp saved our lives as we found the very best Israeli restaurant in Hollywood (the one in Florida, y'all).

If you're going to go anywhere in Fort Florida for noms, head over to Humus Asli. It's a no frills Israeli restaurant but the hummus is OUT OF THIS WORLD. Creamy, rich, and the best accessory to fluffy pita. Grab the Hummus Sabich and some mint tea.

For coffee, Switchbox is the place to go. Strong coffee & hip decor – a nice surprise in a suburban neighborhood.

Head to Fort Lauderdale-by-the-sea and soak up the sun & sand – the boardwalk costs $2 but is super worth the people watching.

I had the very, very best time lounging (who would have thought?) and am so ready to tackle the end of 2016. Even more so, I can't wait to face 2017 head on, ready to kick some ass.

Cheers!
