Four Eyes

I can’t tell you how much I love glasses. And luckily with the democratization of eyewear, I’m no longer spending hundreds of dollars on a pair of glasses only to wear them for the next 8 years until they’re practically falling apart. And yes, I’ve been known to do this.

I recently found out about a new eyewear company called Covry that actually make it a point to fit your face. I’ve had so many specs feel off and ultimately, slide right down the bridge of my nose. But these bad boys (aka: the Sabik in Mocha) are p-e-r-f-e-c-t-i-o-n!

They’re ridiculous lightweight and pair pretty perfectly with anything (even the most colorful of sweaters as referenced above or drinking on the roof).

A few tips and tricks re: glasses that I’ve picked up along the way:

  • Find the perfect size: Try on multiple pairs to see what size fits your face shape best. Your eyes should be in the center of the frame and shouldn’t cover too much of your eyebrow (if at all!)

  • Play around with color and style: Have fun with it – they’re glasses after all. Try certain styles that you’ve always wanted to check out, but make sure they fit with your lifestyle too!

  • Get a special cloth to clean your glasses: I’m guilty of this, but using tissues or your shirt to clean spots off your eyeglasses actually makes micro-abrasions that lead to scratched looking glasses lenses. Not good. Just take a few more minutes out of your day and clean ‘em correctly!

Cheers!
