I don't get out of the city as often as I'd like. So, any time there is an opportunity to take an out of town getaway, I'm ALL FOR IT.
I was invited to celebrate the beginning of summer with Park Winters, a legit M-A-G-I-C-A-L space that's home to some pretty epic weddings (and events, too). Since I love a good party, I was excited to make the trek up north.
With my bestie, Andi who also doubled as my photographer for the day, we made the hour and a half drive up north. Being from Ohio, the scenery up north is nothing terribly surprising (farms!), but upon entering Winters, California we were welcomed by patches and patches of sunflowers. It was the perfect way to start the day.
If you're in the market to get married (or just throw one hell of a party), make note: Park Winters is devastatingly cute. The main inn was built in 1865 and has been refurbished to be a beautiful estate where you can spend the night. Along with the inn, the grounds are epic – and include a pool to cool you off in that over 90 degree sun.
Along with some amazing R&R, we were able to discover some of the local companies that call Winters, California home.
We snacked on donuts and fueled up with coffee from Insight Coffee Roasters and Sun & Soil Juice Co. in the morning (the juice by the way is incredible!!) prepping for the day's events. Had a frozé or two (or three) before heading to the pool to cool off from the sweltering heat! We then checked out Poppy & Oak Goods that curates the perfect custom boxes for gifts (Andi loved the expecting mother's box!) and the family owned and operated PURE Honey that sells local raw honey in a variety of flavors!
Around 4 p.m. Andi, Lucy and I started to wind down the day with a popsicle from their ice cream truck and made the trek back to San Francisco happy, full, and just a biiiit more tan. :)
If you're not getting married, don't worry – Park Winters got cha back. They have poolside passes for the day so you can enjoy the space in all of its glory.
