Weekend Snapshots

In a New York Minute. Matt came to visit for the long weekend!

Trails and Ways playing a killer set at The Independent!

Somehow these Nike Lunarglides make running just a bit more enjoyable.

Morning explorations at Billy Goat Hill. Part of my 10 things to do before 10 a.m. mentality.

Y SO FOGGY SF?

A little snapshot of Bootie SF. I won't lie, I may or may not have danced on the podium.

Chipotle's Cultivate Festival in Golden Gate Park this weekend. TACOS ON TACOS. And of course, a few solid bands too.

My weekend outfit go-to: Embroidered denim and boots.

Amazing homemade brunch with new friends overlooking the city.

Hi Everyone!

Happy Monday! So...DUN DUN DUN! The Local Transplant got a facelift! This new redesign has been in the works for quite some time (hence my ominous tweets!) and my amazing and talented friend Kiersten Bonifant designed the new blog look. I must say, it's looking pretty schnazzy. Eh? Like a nice bedazzle to a jacket or a good ol' dip dye to a pair of jeans. Thank you so much Kiersten for all your hard work. It's a beauty!Β

Anyway, i'm going to be feeding off the excitement for quite some time but I also had a pretty great weekend to top off my weekend high. One of my good college friends from NYC visited San Francisco for the long weekend so naturally, we had to show him a good time. A trip to Badlands for a little dancing, rooftop ceviche at El Techo de Lolinda, a $2 beer at Bean Bag and Bootie SF at DNA Lounge was had in the past several days. I think we did a pretty stellar job at showing him some local favorites.

Not only did I get to see my college friend, but I also saw Trails and Ways at The Independent. They were playing with San Francisco based band Social Studies and Astronauts Etc. I would definitely check out "Mtn Tune" and "Nunca." Two great songs that first got me into Trails and Ways.

Began the weekend with a 7:00 a.m. trip to swing above the city at Billy Goat Hill (my 10 things to do before 10 a.m.-- always a fun challenge), stopped by Chipotle's Cultivate Festival in Golden Gate Park and ended the weekend with homemade brunch and frisbee in Washington Square Park. I'd say this weekend was a complete success.

I hope ya'll are as excited about the new changes as I am! Thank you again Kiersten and until tomorrow!
