Hi Everyone!
Happy Thursday! So, first off...i'm SUPES excited it's almost the end of the week (i'm venturing off to Tahoe in a mere 24 hours!) and second, i'm even MORE excited to tell you about a killer company called American Island Co. that started from a Ohio University alumni!
As you all know, I am absolutely in love with my alma mater, Ohio University and love throwing it out in posts. Even more so, I love highlighting talented people who have come out of my school. American Island Co. started as an aspirational project from founder Andrew Yunker. After coming out of several months of non-stop work, Yunker (partnering with his sister Alison) decided to start the clothing line after a relaxing evening golfing. Yunker thought of “American Island” as an idea of being any place where you feel totally comfortable and from there, American Island Co. was born.
American Island Co. aims to attract anyone who opts for comfortable and to be honest, i'm ALL about it. As ya'll know, i've been running quite often with the hopes of training for a half-marathon! I'm absolutely loving these shirts to not only exercise in, but lounge in too. Ask my roommate, i've been wearing it every evening for a week!
Specifically, i've taken a keen liking to the newly released The 1991, with a neon green emblem! Also, this is a great opportunity for me to announce that thanks to American Island Co. i'll be giving away one of their shirts - The 1991!
