I’ve always loved menswear and classic suiting. And even though we’re going on year two of the pandemic, I’ve tried to make a big effort in getting “ready” for most of the week – perhaps to try and find some sort of normalcy in the chaos or because I’ve always been drawn to structure and routine.
Regardless, whenever I’m at loss on what to wear – classic, tailored separates are usually my go-to. Easy, yet put together. Comfortable, but elevated. So, when I saw this Anine Bing suit set I was…intrigued. The color (it says rust but depending on lighting could be red, rust or burnt orange) is definitely out there, but admittedly, she was on mega sale (thank you Black Friday!) and I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to snag this lewk.
I also realized (after the fact), that I do look like a certain DC Universe character – but a bit more kempt overall. Or not. Maybe the joke’s on me?
And while she’s definitely a statement set, I’m excited for the opportunity to style her a bit. Both separately and together. If you have suggestions on how to style, send ‘em my way!
