Hi Everyone!
Apologies on the delay of Monday's post. I've been recovering from my 39.3 mile walk! If you didn't hear me talk about it, over the weekend I walked 39.3 miles with the Avon 39 – The Walk Against Breast Cancer.
It was an amazing and inspiring weekend full of love, hope, and spirit. I had the opportunity to walk with my friend Lisa and her family and the people I met along the way were amazing. Even though 39 miles doesn't seem like a lot, I have to say – it was pretty intense. But the pain pales in comparison to others who have been affected or are affected by breast cancer.
I walked for my mom who had (and beat!) breast cancer. It was a great moment to be a part of and all said and done, San Francisco raised 4.6 million dollars to help Bay Area organizations fighting breast cancer.
Besides the walk, I spent the week preparing (sort of) with a trip to Brit + Co. sampling all the deliciousness that is SKYY Vodka and their SKYY Barcraft series. Seriously, their combinations are amazing. I had the Watermelon Fresca and Margarita Lime and I can't wait to try them at home. For me, simplicity is key when it comes to making a cocktail.
